Development and Validation of Maria Aurora National High School Online Portal

This research focused on the development and validation of Maria Aurora NHS Online Portal (MANHSOP) that serves as an online platform for a more inclusive program dissemination and implementation in terms of school governance and curriculum and instructions. The data were gathered from three hundred fifty- seven (357) respondents comprising ICT experts, teachers, parents, and learners of Maria Aurora NHS. The MANHS Online Portal was developed using AGILE model with the following phases: plan, design, develop, test, deploy, review, and launch. Participants were asked to assess the technical features of the developed MANHSOP based on ISO 25010 quality standards such as security, usability, reliability, portability, functional suitability, and performance efficiency as well as the implication in terms of implementation. The implementation of MANHSOP was very satisfactory and fully met its intended indicators.
The study found the online portal highly successful, meeting all technical standards from functionality to security. Maria Aurora National High School’s governance and curriculum benefited significantly. Improving communication and maintaining a competitive edge, it provides essential, convenient support for students, educators, and the school’s overall institutional growth.
This study suggests that MANHS may allot sufficient fund for the web portal's development to purchase a domain name that will be active for at least two years (renewable) which will benefit the student body and the community at large. MANHS may implement an in-service training program focused on using MANHSOP. Future researchers may add features like alumni records, feedback forms, and a faculty-staff directory.
