Authorship and Contribution

The Journal of Management Research and Review (JMRR) is committed to maintaining transparency and fairness in authorship attribution to uphold the integrity of scholarly communication. Proper acknowledgment of all contributors ensures accountability and gives credit where it is due.

Criteria for Authorship

An individual qualifies as an author only if they meet all of the following criteria:

  • Substantial Contributions: Participated significantly in the conception, design, execution, data analysis, or interpretation of the research.

  • Manuscript Preparation: Contributed to drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important intellectual content.

  • Final Approval: Approved the final version of the manuscript before submission and publication.

  • Accountability: Agree to be accountable for their contributions and to ensure that any questions related to the accuracy or integrity of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Individuals who contributed to the project but do not meet all these criteria should be acknowledged separately in the Acknowledgments section, with their consent.

Author Order and Corresponding Author

  • The sequence of authors should accurately reflect the relative level of contribution made by each individual.

  • Changes to authorship (such as additions, deletions, or reordering) after submission require written consent from all authors.

  • One author should be designated as the corresponding author who manages all communication with the journal during the submission, peer review, and publication process and ensures that all co-authors are kept informed.

Contribution Transparency

JMRR requires a clear Author Contribution Statement specifying the role of each author (e.g., conceptualization, methodology, data analysis, writing-original draft, supervision). This statement should be included in the manuscript and provided during submission to promote transparency.

Acknowledgment of Non-Author Contributions

  • Individuals or organizations that provided technical assistance, funding, general supervision, or other support but did not meet authorship criteria should be recognized in the Acknowledgments section with their permission.

  • Disclosure of all financial support or sponsorship is mandatory.

Handling Disputes or Misconduct

  • JMRR does not tolerate unethical authorship practices such as guest, gift, or ghost authorship.

  • In the event of disputed authorship, the journal will follow COPE guidelines, which may involve investigation and consultation with authors’ institutions.

Responsibility of Authors

  • All authors share collective responsibility for the content and ethical standards of the research.

  • Authors must ensure the originality of the work, proper citations, and compliance with ethical publishing standards.

  • Cooperation with editorial inquiries, including during investigations of possible misconduct, is expected.
