Publication Ethics
The Journal of Management Research and Review (JMRR) upholds the highest standards of ethical practice in scholarly publishing. We require all authors, reviewers, editors, and stakeholders to adhere to these principles to foster transparency, fairness, and trust in management research.
Responsibilities of Authors
-
Originality and Plagiarism: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors must appropriately cite all sources and avoid all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism and data fabrication.
-
Data Integrity and Transparency: Research findings must be reported accurately and honestly. All underlying data, methods, and analyses should be described in sufficient detail to enable replication and verification by others.
-
Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and the writing of the manuscript. The order of authorship should reflect actual contributions and all authors must approve the final submission.
-
Multiple or Redundant Submission: Manuscripts may not be submitted to another journal or previously published elsewhere. Simultaneous or duplicate submissions are considered unethical.
-
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors must declare all relevant financial, professional, or personal relationships that could be perceived to influence their research.
-
Funding and Acknowledgments: All sources of financial or material support must be disclosed. Non-author contributions should be recognized with permission.
Responsibilities of Editors
-
Fair and Objective Decisions: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely for intellectual merit, originality, and fit to JMRR’s scope, without bias or discrimination.
-
Confidentiality: Editors keep all submission details confidential and do not use unpublished materials for personal gain.
-
Ethical Oversight: Editors investigate allegations of misconduct and issue corrections or retractions when necessary, following established procedures and guidelines.
-
Conflict of Interest: Editors recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
-
Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share or use manuscript content except for the purpose of peer review.
-
Objectivity and Constructive Feedback: Reviews should be objective, evidence-based, and free of personal criticism. Reviewers are expected to provide honest, helpful comments to improve the work.
-
Recognition of Sources: Reviewers must identify relevant published work not cited by authors and report suspected ethical breaches to the editorial office.
-
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should decline to review if a potential conflict exists.
Misconduct and Corrections
-
Handling Misconduct: JMRR promptly investigates suspected cases of plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate publication, or other unethical conduct. Proven cases may result in rejection, retraction, or notification to concerned institutions.
-
Corrections and Retractions: The journal corrects substantive errors or retracts articles as appropriate to maintain the integrity of the academic record.
Inclusive and Non-Discriminatory Practices
JMRR is committed to publishing without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, country, or institutional affiliation, and strives to foster a diverse, inclusive scholarly environment.
By submitting to JMRR, all contributors agree to comply with these publication ethics, supporting credible, responsible management research for the global community.
